TechPoint acquires Esprit Electronics to grow UK electronics manufacturing

11th Oct 2026

We're built different. So is Esprit Electronics.

TechPoint has acquired Esprit Electronics, an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider based in Southampton. Esprit Electronics’ team of 92 people joins the TechPoint Group, bringing more than 40 years of experience and deep EMS expertise.

The acquisition strengthens our UK manufacturing capability and supports our long-term growth ambitions.

A shared vision for UK electronics manufacturing

Perry Duffill, CEO of TechPoint, said:

"We're delighted to welcome the Esprit Electronics team to TechPoint. We have a shared vision of growing UK electronics manufacturing. Together, we can now offer customers a complete solution, combining complementary capabilities and expertise within one group. I have been impressed with the rich capability and expertise that the Esprit Electronics team embodies, and this truly is a great fit for TechPoint."

What the Esprit Electronics team brings

Since 1985, Esprit Electronics has served blue chip multinational industrial customers with precision manufacturing and test capabilities. The team also designs and manufactures bespoke filtered connector solutions for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC, EMI and RFI) and transient voltage suppression (TVS), including lightning protection.

Esprit Electronics will keep operating from its Southampton facilities and service will continue as normal for customers.

Laurie Sigournay, managing director of Esprit Electronics, said:

"Esprit Electronics and TechPoint have a great deal in common including shared values, ambition and many complementary solutions, so this is a great next step for the company. We're delighted that Esprit Electronics will continue to be UK owned and managed. This is an exciting new chapter for the company."

More for customers

The acquisition unlocks stronger supply chain resilience for customers of both businesses. It also creates greater flexibility, with increased manufacturing capacity and access to specialist automation capabilities and engineering expertise across multiple disciplines.

What's next

We're looking forward to working alongside our new colleagues in Southampton and to everything we'll build together.
